Say hello to Andreas Fremholt, our new Strategic Account Manager in Stockholm.

Every week we interview a Saltie and with Andreas we talked about his background in SaaS, relationship building and his morning routines that include a dip in the cold ocean.

What is your role at SALT?

Helping organizations secure top developers and support their future initiatives, which can be anything from product development, digital transformation, upskill current employees, webb/app development etc.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your work before joining SALT.

Since I graduated from Griffith University in Surfers Paradise, Australia I have spent my entire career in sales, business development and similar. Being a globetrotter it has been fortunate to work and live in cities like Oslo, New York, Washington DC, Sydney and having the chance to visit places like Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Beijing, San Francisco, Monaco, Milano, Shanghai, all being work-related.

Nowadays, I wish I could spend more time on the tennis court, which I did the first year after high school in San Diego when I was part of the university tennis team. However, I am happy to say that the reason for not allocating more time on the court or on the golf course for that matter is my lovely family, Nathali, Elli (4), Winston (2,5) and Walter (11 years old cockapoo). Besides being a sports fanatic I also love gastronomy including wine and a better afternoon can be spent enjoying an excellent espresso and playing a few rounds of backgammon or chess. That is pure enjoyment and cotton for my soul. And why not listen to David Gray while doing it.

What strengths and skills do you bring to your position?

Working with SaaS sales since March-2006 I will hopefully bring some experience to the Sales & Partnerships team. My ability to build relationships within large organizations and in our case help them secure top developers for the future is something I hope will benefit us. And considering a lot more than 10.000 hours of experience I tend to see what might be lacking in a successful customer or future customer process/experience.

How is it to work in the tech industry?

I love it. It is moving forward at a pace that cannot be seen in any other industry. However, most other sectors see the benefits of tech, IT, AI, ML, NLP etc. And this makes our offering even more attractive to the market since around 70% of all CEO’s still have digital transformation on their agenda. If all of them know how to move forward with their vision is another story… But this is definitely an area where our competence and ability to deliver tech stars on demand becomes crucial so that projects like in-house product/app development, moving from legacy to the cloud and being able to meet customer demand will continue to flourish on Swedish and European soil.

And seeing our developers end up with top brands, organizations with amazing company culture and many being named “great places to work” makes me sleep well at night.

What random hobbies do you have?

I do not know about random hobbies, but I do not know that many people that actually travel with a Picopresso (espresso machine), a manual grinder, fresh beans and a scale. A coffee geek is how Nathali, my wife, presents me.

Another passion, which I prefer to call it, is cold baths. Every morning when I am at home no matter what time of the year. Three minutes in the cold is the best start of any day.

You live in Skåne – 600 km from the Stockholm office – When do you have to go up in the morning?

The alarm goes off at 05:30 every morning so that I can enjoy that cup of brew before waking up my kids Winston & Elli and taking them to kindergarten at 07:10. Then straight down the big blue for a wake-up dip.

Working remotely is something I did for two years during COVID-19 so no problem when I am not in Stockholm with the fantastic core team.

Thank you Andreas for the chat and warm welcome to SALT!
