SALT is not considered a school, therefore it is not possible to apply for CSN.

No, the 3-month training is unpaid. SALT offers a free award-winning education and once employed, you will start to receive a salary.

To be eligible for our career programs, one of the requirements is to be situated either in or nearby Stockholm or Oslo. We currently do not accept candidates looking to relocate solely for this program.

SALT developers are carefully selected through our high-quality 6-step process. In short: Send in your application, do a quick personality & logic test, receive a phone call from one of our recruiters, join our group interview & final workshop! We want to get to know you while also providing more information about SALT!

The training is intense! You will need to put your private life on hold for these 3 months. We expect you to be onsite every day from Monday to Friday between 08:30-17:00, and you will most likely spend the biggest part of your weekends doing the weekend assignment.

Our advice is that you plan these 3 months wisely so you can focus on the training 100%. It will be worth it in the end!

It doesn’t matter if you miss a couple of days due to sickness. Although, if you are sick for over a week you might have trouble keeping on par with the curriculum.

It won’t be possible to take days off during the training. You will risk falling behind and then have too much to catch up on.

We actually don’t have a final examination, we make evaluations on an ongoing basis. During the last two weeks of the training you will, together with your team, work on a final project. On Graduation day, your team will present your project on your final demo.

After successfully completing the training, you will either be employed with SALT in our Post Graduate Program (PGP) or be offered to be part of the SALT Talent Pool. Our commercial team will connect you with an external tech team at a client for 12 months as a SALT consultant.

If you are offered employment after graduation, your employment date will be 1 month after graduation, or earlier upon agreement.

The salary is paid in arrears – before the end of each calendar month. This means that you will get your first salary paid out one month after your employment day.

During the time after graduation and prior to the start of the consultancy assignment, you will prepare for client interviews, upskill your profile through instructor-lead projects, and participate in the commercial team’s processes & client interviews. Anything to prepare yourself in the best way for the upcoming consultancy year.

After graduation, our commercial team will work on finding our developers a placement at one of our clients as soon as possible. How long it takes before finding a placement varies. It usually depends on the market need, client criterias and at the end of the day, how well you perform in the client interviews. Our goal is to find our developers a place to work as soon as possible, where they can thrive, while also fulfilling the client’s needs.

Working as a consultant means you will be employed by SALT but work for one of our clients. You will work at the client’s office and be treated as one of their own employees.

The contract with the client is based on one consultancy year. It equals 2024 billable working hours which can be seen as a full year.

94% of our developers get hired by the company after the SALT contract is over. The client has a on-term perspective on their investment in you, and their ambition is for them to take over the contract after the SALT year is completed. It is a great try&hire model for them, and a fast-track for you into a career in the tech industry!

SALT truly is a fast track to permanent employment with an industry leader in Scandinavia.

Once accepted to the Career Program you will complete the training onsite in Stockholm for 13 weeks. SALT will provide housing for you during this period.

SALT will arrange and pay for the accommodation as the training is held onsite. You will most likely have to share a room with another student from Norway. If you want to arrange your own accommodation you will have to pay for that by yourself.

You will stay in an apartment studio, where you share a kitchen with your roommate and you have all the utilities you need to cook your meals.

After completing the training you will go back to Oslo for your employment period. Our Norwegian sales team will find you a placement at a Norwegian client.
